Reason #7,209: Some unsettling possibilities

We all know the story of Frankenstein’s monster, so I’m not going to get into the obvious questions of animating constructs made from the parts of corpses. What I want to know is this: they call it the ‘prized’ amalgam. Does that mean there’s…a competition or something for this kind of thing? Are they giving out ribbons at the county fair for the most animate construct or the one with the most arms or the one that talks the best? What’s that? You think this is pure conjecture? We’re on Innistrad here. This is the plane where getting invited to a fancy banquet in the Stensia region means there’s a good chance you’re on the menu. I can’t imagine what could go wrong there.
